Pressure Cooker

When does the cooking time start?

The cooking time begins as soon as the correct pressure level inside the pot has been reached.
You can recognize this by looking at the pressure indicator on the lid – as pressure builds, a small pin rises to show the selected cooking stage. Once the pin displays the desired level, reduce the heat and start counting the cooking time from that moment.

Can I also use the pressure cooker as a regular pot?

Absolutely! Thanks to the included glass lid, you can use your pressure cooker just like a standard pot.
Please note, however, that normal cooking times apply when using it without the special pressure lid.

What can I cook in the pressure cooker?

In short – anything you would prepare in a regular pot.
It’s perfect for soups, stews, meat, vegetables, grains, legumes, and even fruits.
With a bit of creativity and the right accessories, you can also prepare delicious desserts or perfectly steamed fish.

How can I safely release the steam?

Once the cooking time is over, you have three safe methods to release the pressure:

  1. Using the steam regulator:
Slowly turn the pressure selector to the next lower setting. Wait until little or no steam escapes before proceeding. When the regulator is set to the unlock symbol and no steam is visible, you can open the lid safely.
  2. Cold-water method:
Place the cooker carefully in your sink and run cold water over the lid until the pressure indicator has completely dropped.
  3. Natural cooling:
Simply remove the pot from the heat and allow it to cool down naturally.
Open the lid only once the pressure indicator has fully retracted.

Why does cooking in a pressure cooker take less time?

The pressure cooker is tightly sealed during operation, trapping steam inside.
This increases the boiling temperature of water, which means your food cooks faster and more evenly than in a regular pot – saving you both time and energy.

What is the steamer insert used for?

The steamer basket allows you to gently and healthily cook ingredients in hot steam without submerging them in water.
It’s especially suitable for fish, vegetables, and delicate side dishes, as this method preserves flavor, texture, and nutrients.
Ensure that the water level stays just below the insert so that your ingredients don’t touch the water directly.
