How loud is Eni?
During ice cream production, Eni operates at around 60 dB, which is about as quiet as a normal conversation or background music.
You can comfortably use the device without disturbing your surroundings.
Is the ice container safe, or does the ice come into contact with aluminum?
The non-stick ice container is made from anodized aluminum (Eloxal).
During anodization, the aluminum surface is converted into aluminum oxide, which forms a protective and durable coating.
This coating is:
- Food-safe and non-toxic
- Highly resistant to wear and corrosion
- Unaffected by most ingredients used in ice cream
Thus, no aluminum can transfer into your food.
However, avoid alkaline (basic) ingredients, which are not used in ice recipes anyway.
Important care instructions:
- Do not put the container in the dishwasher – the strong detergent alkalinity will eventually damage the oxide layer.
- Avoid sharp or metal utensils, as they can scratch or remove the coating.
- Use only soft silicone or plastic spatulas inside the bowl.
Can I make vegan or lactose-free ice cream with Eni?
Yes — no problem at all!
Simply replace dairy milk with coconut milk or unsweetened plant-based milk alternatives such as soy, oat, or almond milk.
Instead of egg yolk as a binder, you can use agar-agar, locust bean gum, or guar gum in small amounts.
These plant-based ingredients work perfectly to achieve a creamy, scoopable texture.
Can I mix in toppings while the ice cream program is running?
Because Eni does not have a refill opening in the lid, we recommend letting the program run completely.
Afterward, gently fold in fruits, nuts, chocolate, or other toppings by hand using a silicone spatula.
Then transfer the mixture to a storage container and freeze it for 1–2 hours for the perfect consistency.
Warning: Never use sharp or metal utensils in the aluminum bowl to stir or scrape the ice.
Why doesn’t Eni beep after 30 minutes?
Don’t worry — this is not a defect.
There is a misprint in the instruction manual: the beeping and automatic stop were initially planned but not implemented in the final version.
After 30 minutes, Eni continues to operate until the motor protection function activates.
This will automatically stop the machine once the mixture becomes too firm.
What happens after 30 minutes in ice-cream mode?
After 30 minutes, Eni will continue stirring indefinitely (or until the motor protection feature stops the unit).
This ensures your ice cream maintains an even texture if you don’t remove it immediately.
What functions does Eni have?
Eni features three modes, selectable via the control dial:
- Ice-cream mode: mixes and freezes simultaneously.
- Cooling mode: cools the mixture for 30 minutes without stirring.
- Mixing mode: stirs the mixture for 30 minutes without cooling.
This gives you flexibility for pre-chilling, light mixing, or keeping your ice cream creamy.
How much mixture should I fill into Eni’s bowl?
Fill the bowl to no more than two-thirds (≈500 ml), as the mixture expands during freezing.
For optimal performance, fill at least one-third (≈200 ml) of the container so the paddle can mix efficiently.
Overfilling may cause overflow; underfilling may reduce churning performance.
How many servings does one batch make?
One full batch in Eni yields approximately 3 servings of ice cream, sorbet, or frozen yogurt.
