Cutting Board Erik

What sizes are available?

The Erik cutting board is available in the following versions:

  • Variant S: 20 × 30 × 3 cm
  • Variant M: 30 × 40 × 3 cm
  • Variant L: 40 × 50 × 4 cm

Each size offers a solid and stable surface for everyday food preparation, ensuring long durability even under heavy use.

Is the Erik cutting board sealed or treated?

Our elegant Erik cutting board is made from high-quality, durable oak wood.
Its special construction of individually bonded wooden cubes gives it exceptional strength and stability.

Because of the wood’s hardness, cuts remain visible on the surface and do not close up completely — however, this also means that bacteria cannot penetrate the surface easily.

The board is pre-oiled and therefore safe for food contact.

To ensure long-lasting performance:

  • Clean the board by hand only (do not use a dishwasher).
  • Dry thoroughly after each use.
  • Re-oil regularly using a suitable cutting board or food-safe mineral oil.

We currently do not offer care oils in our own range, but you can find a wide selection in specialty stores, supermarkets, or online.

Tip: Apply a thin layer of oil and let it soak in overnight to preserve the wood’s moisture balance and protect against cracks.

Which glue and coating are used for the Erik board?

For the Erik cutting board, we use a white wood glue based on PVAC (polyvinyl acetate) — similar to Ponal.
The surface coating is alkyd resin.

Both materials have been tested according to LFGB (German Food and Feed Code) and are certified food-safe and non-toxic.

Tip: With proper care and regular oiling, the Erik
